A must-visit to include on any Breckenridge bucket list, “The Pan” is Breck’s oldest bar and a true locals favorite. Featuring a brand new back patio and firepit, amazing craft beer selection, rockin’ dance floor, awesome bartenders, and some of the best parties in Breck.

After an awesome, long day of hiking, biking, fly fishing, rafting, or whatever summer activity you’re conquering, a victory beer is crucial to closing out the day! I saw a man the other day that was whitewater paddle boarding down the river and he hollered at me wondering where the closest craft brewery was to stop at. All I could think is, “man, that is a serious Coloradan right there!”

This is when I reflected on the fact that I look at victory beers as the good ol’ pat on the back, the deliciousness that is going to whisper to you, “You did great! Now sit back and relax.” Really, it is pure happiness in a cup. If you are not from Colorado, just know that Colorado people (or at least a mass majority of them), have a strong love for this malty beverage! Colorado is one of the original beer states (Coors Banquet was founded in 1873) and has the 3rd most breweries in the U.S. This is super impressive, right?! So, why not enjoy the crafty drink, especially after a wonderful day of kick a**, outdoor activities!

RMU Tavern and Beer Garden

The RMU bar is definitely made for the outdoorsy, lively bunch of happy people that breathe in the small successes during the day that justify a victory beer! Bike or walk to this bar and crack open that tasty victory beer, play some cornhole, listen to live tunes, and enjoy the surroundings of people who say “cheers” just like you do! The full, live music schedule is always available at BreckInsider.

Broken Compass Brewing Company

Whether you are climbing your way back on a bike ride from Frisco to Breckenridge, on a bike tour, or just enjoying the outskirts of Breck, Broken Compass is an establishment created for that refreshing victory beer! This team is super creative with different flavors of beer to satisfy every pallet. The facility is ultimately created for beer lovers, competitive Cornhole players, and humans just pumped to be in the mountains of Colorado! Call for their free shuttle at (970) 406-2011.

The Gold Pan Saloon

The Gold Pan Saloon is an old-time locals favorite! Since it is one of the oldest bars ever established in Breck, and claims rights to the longest-running liquor license west of the Mississippi, it has had some time to make a name for itself! Tourists share the love for this place, especially at late night hours. You can happily drink your victory beer at any time of the afternoon and through the night. It can be enjoyed on the outdoor patio, on the dance floor, inside listening to live music, or at the old, historic saloon bar! Recently, a delicious artisan cider beer has come out of the Gold Pan Saloon called, Tenmile Cider Company! This is a must-try for cider lovers and local beer supporters!

Breckenridge Brewery

As we all know, Breckenridge Brewery has done very well in the beer industry. Although they have grown tremendously, they still have not lost the flare of the small-town vibe! Located at the south end of Main Street, the large brewpub is easy to access and has a delicious selection of beers to choose from for that victory brew!

The Stinky Boot Saloon

This is a stellar restaurant/bar to hike to! Either walk down to it by enjoying the enchantment of the Fairy Trail and the BOEC Lake or hike up on 4 ’clock run from town! If you have already had a big day and that victory beer is already in site, driving is also an option to this location! The Stinky Boot Saloon, located within Grand Timber Lodge, has made it a part of their theme to highlight and applaud people who have pushed themselves in athletics and extreme sports! This attribute shows that they care for those who deserve the ultimate victory beer!
