Breckenridge Music…
Founded in 1981, Breckenridge Music is a nonprofit that provides orchestra concerts, multi-genre performing arts events, and music education in and around Breckenridge, Colorado. Every summer, the organization’s month-long festival features a resident ensemble of 45 professional musicians who performances range from traditional to modern and sometimes include multidisciplinary collaborations. Throughout the year, the nonprofit presents chamber music in private homes and public locations as well as regional and national touring acts at the Riverwalk Center in genres including jazz, rock, folk, bluegrass, and country. The organization’s education efforts aim to share music with the broadest cross-section of the community and now reach about 4,000 students at schools in three counties.

Did you know?
-Breckenridge Music has been around for 37 years!
-The Breckenridge Music story began in the summer of 1980, when a group of full- and part-time residents put together a ten-day music festival to mark the anniversary celebration of Father Dyer Church. The event was so well received by residents, visitors, and musicians that plans were made to have it become an annual event.
-Breckenridge Music’s program is incredibly diverse. This summer you can enjoy everything from music of The Beatles and Disney, to outdoor yoga with live, classical music, to world-renowned musicians and nationally-recognized touring acts!

Description

Take a break from the snow and celebrate spring in Paris with music spanning three centuries. Breckenridge Music Festical presents "Flavors from France" at Father Dyer Church.

Leclair’s ornate Violin Sonata recalls the frills, lace and perfumes of Versailles, while Franck’s “Trio de Salon” draws you back to Paris’ colorful cafés and music halls.  Debussy, Fauré and Boulanger each have their distinct French flavors that transport us to sunny Provence, or the seashore near Marseille.
