Founded in 1981, Breckenridge Music is a nonprofit that provides orchestra concerts, multi-genre performing arts events, and music education in and around Breckenridge, Colorado. Every summer, Breckenridge Music Festival features a resident ensemble of 45 professional musicians who offer orchestral and chamber music experiences throughout Breckenridge. Breck Music Presents regional and national touring acts at the Riverwalk Center in genres including jazz, rock, folk, bluegrass, and country throughout the year. The organization’s education efforts aim to share music with the broadest cross-section of the community and now reach about 4,000 students at schools in three counties.

-Breckenridge Music has been around for 38 years!
-The Breckenridge Music story began in the summer of 1980, when a group of full- and part-time residents put together a ten-day music festival to mark the anniversary celebration of Father Dyer Church. The event was so well received by residents, visitors, and musicians that plans were made to have it become an annual event.
-Breckenridge Music’s program is incredibly diverse. This summer you can enjoy everything from Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue to Chris Brubeck, outdoor yoga with live classical music, to world-renowned musicians and nationally-recognized touring acts!

Breckenridge Music - What happens when someone tells a little white lie? The answer can be found in the story of Lieutenant Kijé, a Russian satire about an army officer who never existed. Watch as three actors and six musicians bring the story and composer Sergei’s Prokofiev’s first film score to life. Produced in partnership with Backstage Theatre.
